Passionate about everything and anything that makes me smile, that brings out the best in me, that transmits peace. A dreamer with a pocket full of dreams that constantly questions life, substituting the "whys´" for "why nots´". A huge bucket list that I am determined to accomplish. A Teeny Weeny Ribbon feeling at home in England.
I had the opportunity to attend this marvellous Vintage Fair in Norwich this past Sunday and oh boy did it exceed my expectations!!
It took place in the beautiful St.Andrews Hall, organised by Lou Lou's Vintage Fair, a company founded in 2007 and voted the best vintage fair 2013, 2014 and 2015, so I was not surprised by how great it was.
.
The room was filled with beautiful items, clothes, shoes and even a pretty beauty parlour where you could get pampered!
A Hall full of vibrant colours and textures that can take you back to different decades at once, where you can easily get carried away shopping till you drop, which is not a problem as prices were very generous and one of these beautiful items could be yours with no harm done to your finances!! <3
These Ribbons were so cute, I had to buy one!!
Beautiful Wedding Dress
I saw this Girl trying on some items couldn't resist, I had to take a picture. She looked the part, very fashionable. Beautiful!!
If you would like to attend one of these fairs have a look at Lou Lou's facebook or website for dates near you. It's worth the time and every penny spent.
Easy, fast and mess free dessert. Appreciated by all here at home and the calories are also acceptable!!
All you need for this masterpiece are the following;
1 natural Greek yogurt
1 pack of jelly ( I chose strawberry)
250gr of fresh strawberries
250ml of heated water
250ml of current water
You start by oiling the 250ml of water in a pan, I did it in the electric tea pot. Mix the whole of the jelly powder until it's totally dissolved.
Mix in the yogurt and make sure you get and even mixture, I chose to mix it with the whisker. Then add the 250ml of water and put it in the fridge to solidify.
For this recipe you can also chop the strawberries finely and add them in the mixture but I kept them for decoration only.
If you are making this dessert for more than 4 people you can always double up the ingredients and voilà.
Make this jelly the night before, that way you are certain to have a nice and wobbly dessert for nest day.
A really cool trick to unmold the jelly, it's to place it in warm water for 10 seconds and then it's ready to be turned around, not running the risk of it braking.
In a bowl, with a hand mixer you whisk the whites until they are fluffy adding the sugar slowly as you whisk the whites until it looks glossy. Whisk in the vinegar, cornflour and vanilla.
Then prepare a tray with a baking sheet and draw with a pencil a circle. That's where you will spread the whisked whites leaving the sides higher then the insides.
Bake it for an hour and let the pavlova cool down inside the oven.
When the meringue is cool, chop 100g of the strawberries and place them together with 2tbsp of the icing sugar in a food processor. Blitz till it's smooth.
Whip the cream with the remaining icing sugar and spread over the meringue.
Place the remaining fruit on top of the cream and finally add the sauce over the whole Pavlova.
Today I honestly miss my late summer afternoons at Cervejaria Ferradura in Lagos, Algarve, south of Portugal. A place where beer is nice and cold and sea food as fresh as it gets.
A typical place screaming tradition, where the walls are decorated with antique memorabilia, mainly related with old football games and fisher man gear.
I have been going back there for 6 years now, and I hope to maintain this tradition with the Mr.. We never get disappointed, the sea food is amazing, the owners (husband and wife) are very welcoming and the environment...well the environment, you will have to go there and experience it for yourself.
Hurry up Summer <3
